Cashel Palace Restoration
We were privileged to be chosen to be part of the Castle Palace restoration and conservation project in Cashel, Co Tipperary. The project was commissioned by John Magnier. We completed out work on site in December 2019. The full project is due to be completed in 2020.
The project involved the cleaning of the brickwork, reporting as required. After the work was completed the facade of the building looked like it did after completion in the 18th century.
School House Restoration
In addition to the restoration of the main building of Castle Palace we also carried out the restoration of the stone facade to the school house on site. This part of the project involved the repoint of the old limestone and carrying out repairs where required. The surrounds of the windows are built using brick so this brick also needed to be repointed.
